Who is Dr. Wynnykiw?

 

Askold Wynnykiw (Winnie, as he's called by his friends) was born and raised in the Astoria neighborhood of Queens, New York City.

Education:

 

  • St. George Academy, Manhattan - 1979
  • Bachelor's in Biology, New York University - 1983
  • New York University College of Dentistry - 1987
    Top 10% of class and inducted into the OKU (Omicron Kappa Upsilon) Dental Honor Society
 

Residency:

 

  • Brooklyn VA Hospital, general practice residency program - completed 1988
 

Teaching:

 

  • Clinical Instructor (part time) NYU College of Dentistry, Department of Comprehensive Care and Applied Practice Administration
  • Clinical Assistant Professor, NYU College of Dentistry, Senior Student Honors Clinic
 

Independent Practice:

 

  • Moved to the Capital District - 1993
  • Opened his own office in Loudonville - 1999
 

Life-Long Learning:

 

Dr. Wynnykiw believes that science and technology do not stand still, so practitioners should always strive to do better and know more. Over the years, he has taken hundreds of hours of continuing dental education courses, including courses at the Las Vegas Institute and Spear Center.
